Xia Xia: DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THE GOOD NIGHT

大家好，我是夏夏。这个专场大概写了俩故事，改编自我作为消费者和两个大公司打交道的经历，也结合了一些日常所见。 这个专场里会讲我对一些"规则"的不解。这里的规则，不是普通人日常相互遵守的规则，而是指强者给弱者制定的"规则"。 这之中不乏我对自己的"添油加醋"，曾经的懦弱不在，故事里我可以随意驰骋，故事里有现实，有魔幻，也有来自真实生活的愤怒。 相比于上个专场《焦虑青年》向内的情感，这个专场是活泼的，向外的，它会有完全不同的视角。 在专场里我也无意把自己塑造成一个好人。生活荒诞，我也可笑。

Hi everyone, I’m Xiaxia. This solo show is built around two stories — adapted from my own experiences as a consumer dealing with two major corporations, mixed in with some everyday observations.

In this show, I talk about my bewilderment at certain “rules.” Not the kind people follow to get along with each other — but the kind made by the powerful, for the powerless.

I’ve also taken the liberty of “romancing” myself a little. The cowardice I once had is gone. Inside these stories, I roam free. There’s reality, there’s fantasy, and there’s anger pulled straight from life.

Compared to my last solo show, Anxious Youth — which turned inward — this one is livelier, outward-looking. It offers a completely different vantage point.

And I’m not trying to make myself look like a good person here. Life is absurd. And I am ridiculous too.
