Great comedy tackles big issues, punches up, and speaks truth to power. Benny doesn't do any of that. He is a petty, cynical man. Picking your battles is for cowards who don't want to fight all of them, big or small, constantly.
But that doesn’t do anybody any good, so he’s turned that negativity into nice songs with jokes, to maybe hopefully make the world a tiny bit better in whatever small way possible probably maybe.
