“Upgrade Your Night of Laughs” Competition
Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter
The promoter is Sydney Comedy Festival Pty Ltd (ABN 79 116 985 687), of 105 Victoria Rd, Marrickville.

2. Acceptance of Terms
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms & Conditions. By entering this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

3. Eligibility
Entry is open to individuals who, at the time of entry:
– Are aged 18 years or over
– Reside outside of Greater Sydney
– Have purchased a valid ticket to a Sydney Comedy Festival show
– Are travelling, or intend to travel, to Sydney to attend the festival

Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

4. Promotion Period
The promotion opens at 12:00am AEDT on Tuesday 20 January, 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT Sunday 29 March, 2026 (“Promotion Period”).

5. How to Enter
To enter, eligible entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
– Purchase one (1) or more tickets to a Sydney Comedy Festival show; and
– Complete the online competition entry form by:
– Providing their name and email address (which must match the ticket purchase)
– Selecting the name and date of their Sydney Comedy Festival show
– Submitting a valid ticket order ID

Each valid ticket order ID constitutes one (1) entry.

Multiple entries are permitted provided each entry is submitted with a unique order ID.

Only one (1) prize will be awarded per person.

6. Entry Verification
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including identity, age, place of residence and ticket purchase) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.

Incomplete, indecipherable or fraudulent entries will be deemed invalid.

7. Prize
The prize consists of:

One (1) night’s accommodation at a luxury Sydney hotel nominated by the Promoter
Valued up to $500 AUD

Prize conditions:
The prize is accommodation only
The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash
The prize must be redeemed within 400 days of the draw date

Redemption is subject to availability and blackout dates may apply

The winner is responsible for all incidental costs, including but not limited to travel, meals, transfers, insurance and personal expenses

The prize is intended to support travel to Sydney in connection with attendance at the Sydney Comedy Festival.

8. Draw Details
The draw is a game of chance

One (1) winner will be drawn at 1:00pm AEDT on Tuesday 31 March, 2026.
The draw will take place at 105 Victoria Rd, Marrickville.
The winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period.

9. Winner Notification
The winner will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw.
If the winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.

10. Unclaimed Prize
If the prize is unclaimed or forfeited, a redraw will take place at 1:00pm AEDT on Wednesday 8 April, 2026 at the same location as the original draw.

The winner of the redraw will be notified in accordance with clause 9.

11. Use of Winner’s Details
By entering, entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, state/territory of residence and likeness for promotional and marketing purposes related to this promotion, without further remuneration.

12. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with this promotion will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and will be used for the purposes of administering the promotion and for marketing communications where consent has been provided.

13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for:

– Any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction
– Lost, late or misdirected entries
– Any loss, damage or injury suffered by the winner or any other person as a result of accepting or using the prize
– Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights under Australian Consumer Law.

14. General
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the promotion if circumstances beyond its control interfere with the proper conduct of the promotion.

15. Permit Information
This promotion is a game of chance.
