In addition to presenting the biggest international stars and local legends, the Sydney Comedy Festival is a keen advocate and supporter of new emerging talent. Hand-picked by the Festival, the finest young comedians will take to the stage in the FRESH
program, an initiative that supports emerging talent through mentoring and financial support. For the bargain ticket price of $15, audiences can see some of the very best fresh new voices in the comedy scene.
FRESH’s many success stories include the likes of Ronny Chieng and Matt Okine (too many awards to list), Lou Sanz (Winner: Best of the Comedy Festival: Critics Choice, 2012), Michael Workman (Winner: Best Comedy, Adelaide Fringe) and Rhys Nicholson (Best Show Nominee: Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2016). Phew, that’s a lot of awards!
