In early 2020 Daniel Townes found out very quickly that stand-up comedy is not an essential service. Over a year later he’s bringing this hour-long show to Sydney Comedy Festival for 3 nights of mayhem, madness, and so he can feel that live comedy release he has been stinging for since last March.

The show will be an hour of classics, a heap of new stuff from the last year, and a stand-up who is loving being back onstage in front of a live audience.

“Pound for pound, one of the best Australian stand-ups going around. The fact that his name might not be familiar is entirely your fault. He is that good. It’s like spending an hour with a mate who’s funnier, warmer, and more intelligent that the ones you’ve already got.” - GQ Magazine

“Affable, laid-back charm. Dazzlingly funny” - Herald Sun

“Townes is genuinely funny, I highly recommend him to anyone tired of seeing big names coast on their reputations.” - The Age

“It takes real talent to summarise all our shortcomings as a society and still entertain an audience. Luckily, Daniel Townes is a very talented comedian.” - The Music

“Top-mark laughs, clever call-backs and acerbic social commentary” - Herald Sun
