Charisa Bossinakis is upcoming talent in the comedy scene, presenting Sydney Comedy Festival with her debut hour of stand up in Boss. Bossinakis provides sardonicism as she examines the absurdist trends of the millennial age while always remaining to be politically incorrect.

Bossinakis provides a fresh take on some of the most monotonous tasks of her generation while contemplating what it means to be a young woman navigating in the age of social media with reference to pop culture. Bossinakis remains cynical and brutally honest in her accounts of spirituality, dating without tinder, yoga posers and deconstructing the notion of whore hierarchies.

Bossinakis is relatively new to stand up, however, has performed at numerous venues in Melbourne such as the Imperial Hotel, Club Voltaire, Boney, The Resistance Café, Caz Reitop’s Dirty Secrets, The Wilde and many more. Bossinakis also studies at Deakin currently undergoing a Bachelor of Creative Arts while working part-time in hospitality, however, her hobbies include taxidermy and donating blood to the children’s orphanage. When quoted as to why she is compelled to create this show, she said ‘because I do not want to be a waitress for the rest of my life,’ thus making her raw passion for comedy evident.
