In 2014, Andrew Hastings and Reece Piper battled it out for stand up supremacy in Mortal Komedy. Since then, the Scrambled Eggs boys have gone their separate ways, sold out solo shows, performed around Australia, and got much better at comedy. Now, they're doing it again, to finally determine who is the world's greatest komedian.
Andrew Hastings is a Sydney comedian and a regular on the scene. In his debut hour, EMO, he got audiences laughing with stories of misery, heartbreak and the teenage angst of a 26-year-old man.
"Genuine brilliance" The Adelaide Advertiser
Reece Piper is a superior Sydney comedian, even more regular on the scene. He's performed two hour shows (The Spirit of the Staircase and The Centre of the Universe) and had audiences in hysterics with material far more resonant than anything Hastings could hope to offer.
"Talented and hilarious. The highlight of the show." The Adelaide Advertiser
NOTE: Piper's first choice of co-host, Keanu Reeves, was unavailable due to tour commitments with his band 'Dogstar' so he just got Hastings again.
"Teenage poetry's loss is comedy's gain" whatsoncomedy.com
"A self-effacing emo with a shock of Robert Smith hair and the best material in the show by far. Hastings shows flashes of genuine brilliance in a set that plays up a somewhat rocky up-bringing by a mum who was pregnant at 16 and a dad who was never really on the scene." The Adelaide Advertiser
"Talent and hilarious. The highlight of the show." The Adelaide Advertiser
"Reece Piper's attacking drive began to flourish." afl.com.au
