Cracker Night is the traditional opening night gala of the Sydney Comedy Festival, kicking off the festival for the last 10 years with a huge lineup of the funniest and freshest comedians around. This year will see over 5000 fans, over 2 huge nights in 5 different venues around Sydney, making it Sydney’s biggest night of comedy! It’s the show to go to when you don’t know which show to go to!
No matter which venue you attend, we guarantee you an awesome night of comedy with a hilarious range of international and local comics that will have you messing up the punchlines around the water cooler for months! A team of drivers will be ferrying the comedians between venues, ensuring that no matter which Cracker Night takes your fancy you will be seeing the best.

Enmore Theatre – Mon 28 April
This is the biggest of the Cracker Night venues and the show is filmed exclusively for Comedy Channel. It’s everything you can expect from a glittering comedy gala–bright lights, big names, and hundred’s of laughs, all under the roof of one of Sydney’s most iconic venues. This guy has it all!
Metro Theatre - Mon 28 April
In the heart of the city, Cracker Night at the Metro Theatre is all about convenience, but that’s not it’s only asset! Being the smallest of all the venues it let’s you get up close and personal with the comedians in one of Australia’s premier live music venues. Great if your looking for a work team building session!
The Seymour Centre - Mon 28 April
The state of the art Seymour Centre gives you the convenience of the city, but with Inner West charm! With over 35 years championing and presenting a diverse range of contemporary Australian performances, The Seymour knows how to put on a show! It’s relaxed, it’s comfortable and it’s the perfect place to LOL with mates!
The Concourse, Chatswood – Tue 29 April
For those of you who reside on the north side of the bridge, this is the venue for you. Last year was so much fun, that this year The Concourse have thrown open the doors of the award winning Concert Hall to cope with demand! This place has it all, ample parking and heaps of food choices to make a real night of it.
Riverside Theatre, Parramatta - Tue 29 April
For the first time the Sydney Comedy Festival is bringing the fun of the opening night to the West, or more rightfully, the centre of Sydney! The Riverside Theatre, has a proud history of providing world-class entertainment to the Parramatta region and this show will be no exception! You don’t have to worry about battling the traffic on Parramatta road anymore, we will do it for you!
